Q. What type of driver's license do I need to prepare?

A. When picking up the car at the store, you must choose one of the following three options for a 'complete' set of required driving documents.
1.International Driver's License (issued by a country that is a member of the 1949 Geneva Convention) + Your own driver's license + Your passport
2.Japanese translation of your driver's license with an official translation + Your own driver's license + Your passport
3.Driver's license issued in Japan

Q. What if I don't provide any of the above-mentioned driver's licenses? Can I still pick up the car?

A. Unfortunately, it's not possible.
If you are unable to present a 'complete' set of the required documents when picking up the car at the store, the car rental company, in accordance with the law, will be unable to provide you with rental services. In that case, you will need to make alternative transportation arrangements for your travel.

Q. Are there any additional documents required to rent a specific type of vehicle (model)?

A. When renting a vehicle with a capacity of 10 passengers, only those with an International Driving Permit categories D or a translation of the license indicating 'large passenger vehicle' are eligible for rental.

Q. I'm renting only one car, but can different people take turns driving?

A. Yes, that's possible.
However, according to the law, each driver must provide a 'complete' set of required driving documents when picking up the car at the store.

Q. Are there any age restrictions or a waiting period after obtaining a driver's license to rent a vehicle?

A. It varies by rental car company.
You can check for any specific restrictions on age or the duration since obtaining a driver's license on the 'Plan details' page when making a reservation.
If the 'Plan details' page does not specify any particular age or waiting period requirements, it means there are no special restrictions, and you can proceed with your reservation confidently.

Reservation

Q. How can I make a car rental reservation, and what is the rental fee?

A. After entering the homepage of Web-Rentacar.com, you can choose your desired 'Pick-up Date and Time,' 'Return Date and Time,' and 'Pick-up Location.' Then, proceed to search, confirm, and make a reservation for your car rental plan.

Q. What information do I need to provide when making a reservation?

A. You will need to provide your name, date of birth, phone number, and email address when making a reservation.

Q. Can I reserve multiple vehicles?

A. Yes, you can. However, each reservation is limited to one vehicle.
If you need to reserve more than one vehicle, please make separate reservations. (The number of vehicles you wish to rent should be equal to the number of reservation confirmation numbers you receive.)

Q. Is there a car rental reservation service available by phone or email?

A. Web-Rentacar.com only provides online reservation services!

Q. How can I confirm that my reservation is complete?

A. After a successful reservation, you will receive a 'Booking confirmation notice.'
Additionally, you can check and manage all your reservations from [My Page].

Q. What should I do if I haven't received a 'Booking confirmation notice' after making a reservation?

A. Depending on your email platform or personal settings, the email may be automatically sorted into the spam or junk mail folder. Please check your spam or junk mail folder to ensure you don't miss the confirmation notice.

Q. After a successful reservation, how can I confirm/view the details of my reservation?

A. You can check/view the details of all your reservations from [My Page].

Q. How can I change the details of my reservation?

A. Once a reservation is completed, the details cannot be changed.
If you need to change the order details (such as pick-up/drop-off times, locations, or vehicles), please go to the [My Page], cancel the original order, and then make a new reservation.

Q. How can I cancel my reservation?

A. You can check and cancel all your reservations from [My Page].
Please note that depending on the terms of your reservation, there may be a cancellation fee when canceling a reservation.

Pick up or Return

Q. How can I pick up the car?

A. Please make sure you have the following items ready: ① Local driver's license, ② International driver's license or a Japanese-translated driver's license, ③ Passport, ④ Credit card.
After signing the contract, the store staff will collect the fees stated in the contract and guide you on how to use the car. They will also inspect the car with you.

Q. Is there a shuttle service?

A. It varies by rental car company.
If the rental car company provides shuttle services, you can check the store address and transportation information in the 'Plan details' when making a reservation.
After completing the reservation, you can also review the store address, shuttle service information and transportation information from [My Page].

Q. Can I rent or return the car outside of business hours?

A. The rental and return of the car are only allowed during the business hours of each rental store.

Q. What should I do if my flight is delayed or I cannot pick up the car at the originally scheduled time for other reasons?

A. If you anticipate arriving later than planned, please make sure to directly contact the rental store. Otherwise, the rental company may cancel your reservation.
You can check the store address, transportation information, and other reservation details from [My Page].

Q. If I pick up the car later than the scheduled time, can the return time be extended accordingly?

A. The return time cannot be extended.
Even if you are late for the scheduled pick-up time, the return time will remain the same as originally reserved. Please note that if you return the car later than the originally scheduled return time without notifying the rental store, they may charge you a late return fee.

Q. What should I do if it's possible that I'll exceed the originally scheduled return time?

A. Please be sure to contact the rental store directly if there's a possibility of exceeding the originally scheduled return time.
In such a situation, the rental store may charge you an overtime fee. Additionally, if you fail to inform the rental store in advance, you may be subject to a late return penalty.

Payment

Q. I have successfully made a reservation. When do I make the payment?

A. You will need to make the payment directly at the rental store when picking up the car.
If you have chosen a car rental plan that allows online credit card payment, you only need to make the payment online.

Q. Can I use a credit card for payment when picking up the car at the rental store?

A. It varies by rental car company.
If the 'Plan details' during your reservation specifies that payment is (only) accepted in cash, please use cash for payment.

Q. Does the price displayed on the website include consumption tax?

A. The price indicated on the website is inclusive of tax (the total amount you will need to pay).

Q. In addition to the price displayed on the website, will there be any additional charges?

A. The price on Web-Rentacar.com includes the rental fee, standard insurance, and consumption tax, and generally, there are no additional charges. However, there are additional expenses that you will need to cover after completing the reservation, such as:
・Rental company's own insurance (optional purchase of insurance without bearing the Non-Operation Charge (NOC) compensation fee) → Can be added at the time of car rental.
・Rental fee for the ETC card
・Fuel cost
・Toll fees on expressways

Vehicles/Options

Q. Can I rent a navigation system?

A. It depends on the rental car company.
If the car rental plan includes a navigation system, the plan name will indicate 'with navigation'!
If the plan includes a multilingual navigation system in Chinese/English/Korean, the plan name will indicate 'with Chinese/English/Korean navigation'!

Q. What types of insurance are available?

A. Please refer to the [Insurances] for details!!
Some car rental plans include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Non-Operation Charge (NOC) compensation. Please check the 'Plan details' page when making a reservation for more information.

Q. Can I return the car to a different location (pick up in one place and return in another)?

A. It varies by rental car company.
If the car rental plan offers the option for returning the car to a different location, you can select another return location on the 'Plan details' page. If there is only one return location, and it is the same as the pick-up location, then returning the car to a different location is not possible.

Q. Can I specify the car model or color?

A. Unfortunately, it is not possible to specify. We appreciate your understanding.

Q. How much luggage can the rental car accommodate?

A. Please refer to the [Vehicle types] for details!
Additionally, all rental car plans you can choose from clearly indicate the number of passengers the vehicle can accommodate. Please check the 'Plan details' for more information.

Q. Can I rent snow tires, and what is the cost?

A. It varies by rental car company.
If you need to add snow tires, please complete your reservation first, and then proceed to [Inquiry] to provide your reservation number for additional purchase.

Q. Can I rent an ETC card, and what is the cost?

A. It varies by rental car company.
If you need to add an ETC card, please complete your reservation first, and then proceed to [Inquiry] to provide your reservation number for additional purchase.

Q. Can I rent a non-smoking car?

A. Basically, all rental car plans on Web-Rentacar.com are for non-smoking vehicles.
If it is a smoking-permitted vehicle, it will be clearly indicated as 'This plan is for smoking' on the 'Plan details' page.

Q. Do I need to refill the fuel when returning the car?

A. When picking up the car, it comes with a full tank of fuel, so when returning the car, please refill the fuel. ※ Except for special plans (Return the car without filling up plan).

Q. Can I rent only snow tires, an ETC card, KEP, HEP, baby seat, child seat, or junior seat?

A. Unfortunately, it's not possible.
The items mentioned above cannot be rented or added across different rental stores. We appreciate your understanding.

Q. Can I rent a baby seat, child seat, or junior seat?

A. Yes, you can. According to traffic regulations, children under six years old must use a child seat.
Please make sure to select the correct seat when making a reservation. The seat categories are as follows:
